Smartphone-based Driving Assistant for Road Safety
iOnRoad offers a smartphone-based personal driving assistant to increase road safety in real time. By using the devices native camera and sensors, iOnRoad provides a software-only solution for detecting vehicles and other hazards. The app maps objects in the driving environment and issues an alert in case of danger. The iOnRoad solution helps reduce distracted driving and offers a range of other functions such as augmented driving and dashboard video and information (black box) recording. The company has received numerous awards for innovation, including the 2012 CTIA E-Tech Award and the CES 2012 showcase award. In addition, iOnRoad was named a cool vendor in Cool Vendors in Automotive, 2012 by the Gartner Research Group.
