About

InPlant Technologies is the developer of a platform delivery technology designed to increase the mobility of active agrochemical ingredients (AI) in plants to increase their activity and reduce the required dosage, resulting in higher yields and lower environmental impact. The companys technology packages the AI inside nano-sized particles composed of inexpensive GRAS materials. The nanoparticles effectively penetrate the plant and transport the agrochemicals through different routes within the plant (symplast and apoplast, basipetal and acripetal flow), ultimately releasing the cargo within the plant cells. In addition, the technology can provide the following benefits in different permutations depending on the specific agrochemical ingredient used: lower costs with fewer applications; improved efficacy (e.g. more complete eradication of weeds); less carryover to the following season; reduced use of toxic additives; and the potential for new synergetic AI combinations in a single product (e.g. Mg and Fe). InPlant Technologies operates within the framework of the Trendlines Agtech business incubator.
