About
Inhalify is a pediatric digital health solution designed to monitor and support the use of inhalers among children, particularly those under the age of ten who typically use spacers. The system includes a sensor-based add-on device that attaches to standard inhalers and spacers, a mobile application for caregivers, and a clinician dashboard.
The sensor utilizes measurements of different sensors such as air pressure, flow, and humidity to determine whether the child has properly inhaled the prescribed medication dose. The device provides real-time visual and audio feedback to guide correct inhaler usage. Data collected by the sensor is transferred to the mobile app, which allows parents and doctors to track adherence, inhaler usage technique and inhalation patterns over time. Clinicians can access this information via a connected interface to monitor patient progress and intervene when needed. The solution also includes an AI algorithm for asthma attacks prediction, enabling doctors to adjust the treatment on the go to prevent exacerbations.
The system is designed to address a common gap in pediatric respiratory care—namely, the lack of monitoring tools for spacer-based inhaler usage. Inhalify is undergoing regulatory planning and intends to pursue the 510k FDA track. Validation has been conducted using artificial lung machines, and the IP includes a novel mechanism for dose verification in spacer use.
Inhalify raised non-diluted funds from the Technion's inventors center and the IIA.
