About

GreenSpense is the developer of a continuous, propellant-free dispensing technology. By eliminating the need for gas, air, or VOCs in aerosol containers, the company's product allows manufacturers to use low-cost, recyclable materials such as plastic or cardboard instead of pressurized canisters.

GreenSpense's EcoDrive technology is based on proprietary elastomer technologies. Rather than using compressed air for propulsion, the technology enables the product to be air-forced from a sleeve located inside the container a process similar to the way air is squeezed through a bagpipe. The nanotechnology-based internal elastic sleeve is thin and generates high pressure, with no pressure exerted on the external container.

Easily implemented in filling lines, GreenSpense technology is safe, eco-friendly, and compatible with most standard dual-compartment components.

GreenSpense was the winner of the 2013 International Cleantech Open Ideas Competition and received Horizon 2020 SME grant.
