About
GenoSmart's proprietary versatile bio-electronic molecular diagnostic device, Miniature Enthalpy-Meter, is designed for the rapid and accurate diagnosis of pathogens such as antibiotic-resistant bacteria, pandemic viruses, and bio-terror agents. Using this technology, it develops a rapid, affordable, and easy-to-use diagnostic device for any site of need. The platform detects the minute change in the kinetic energy of molecules (i.e., enthalpy-rich specific molecular interactions such as DNA hybridization, enzyme-substrate reactions, and antibody-antigen binding) within minutes. GenoSmart has also developed a proprietary adaptable automatic nucleic acid purification device, Automated Nucleic Acid Extraction (ANAE). It rapidly and efficiently purifies DNA or RNA from any source in one automatic step. According to need, the separation process can be readily fitted with any market-accepted method such as bead, column, or affinity-based (or combined). The product can be post-processed by several enzymatic steps with temperatures ranging between sub-ambient to denaturation, to yield highly specific purified products. All ANAE processes are performed rapidly and automatically from start to finish.
