EyeCanTouch is a play experience for children with severe motor and communication difficulties (non-verbal and unable to move their upper and lower limbs) and enables them to interact and play with physical toys using the movement of their eyes. It is made of two prototypes: the first, enables children to control the movement of robotic spiders and move them forward, backwards, turn right and turn left as well as drawing various shapes with them using the movement of their eyes. The second prototype enables the children to control a 6-note xylophone using a simple note interface that reacts to to the eye's movement. The goal of the project is to empower these children, encourage independence, control, and facilitate social interaction which is effortless and intuitive.
