Founded in 1967, in the aftermath of the Six-Day War, as Eltam Technologies, a young kibbutz-based factory specializing in the production of lighting components and lighting control systems. Over the years, it grew to become one of Israel's leading lighting suppliers and one of the largest European companies in the field of lighting fixtures and power supplies for the armored vehicle industry. In 2021, the company acquired Steinitz-Lird, establishing itself as Israel’s leading lighting group. The Ein Hashofet Lighting Group also includes DLED and Electrozan. Eltam offers a comprehensive solution in the fields of lighting engineering and control, with LED drivers, electronic ballasts, communication protocols, cellular controllers (RTU), and a web-based management solution called ON-SiTE®. This software allows users to monitor and control individual or groups of streetlights, positioning Eltam as a significant player in the Smart-City and Smart-Grid vision. Additionally, Eltam is an approved manufacturer for the automotive industry, producing stamped sheet metal products and sub-assemblies.
