Dynamic Infra Red (DIR) Technologies develops and manufactures solutions for inspecting pharmaceuticals. DIR makes use of advanced thermal-imaging techniques in a variety of applications, such as quality control, process control, and identification of counterfeit drugs. Whereas periodic sampling is the standard testing method for pharmaceuticals on a production line, DIRs technology has the potential to inspect every package without breaking the seals. DIR and Pfizer signed a five-year agreement in 2015 to apply DIRs method to several of Pfizers production lines. DIR has filed several patent applications for its infrared devices and test methods.
