About

DeepOptics is developing dynamic-focus eyeglasses for the multifocal eyeglass market. DeepOptics glasses automatically adjust their prescription strength to provide nearsighted or farsighted correction. Unlike conventional multifocal glasses, the entire lens area focuses on the eyes target, eliminating conventional multifocal-related optical distortions. Operated by a battery located in the frame, tiny sensors detect pupil distance and activity. The processor, also located inside the frame, calculates the optimal lens adjustment for wearers to see the object of focus. The processor then activates the precise amount of voltage to change a layer of liquid crystal in the lens in order to adjust for sharp vision. DeepOptics proprietary liquid crystal lens covers the eyeglasses entire field of view and provides a clear view of both near and distant objects. DeepOptics eyeglasses are available in a variety of frame styles.
