Chi2Gel is a development-stage company that intends to develop a hydrogel-based device to revitalize degenerated spinal discs. The companys proprietary hybrid hydrogel is currently in advanced preclinical development in the fields of orthopedics and rheumatology. Chi2Gels current development focus is on patients with painful knee osteoarthritis, for whom Chi2Knee will be indicated for intra-articular injection as a viscosupplement. Chi2Gels hydrogel will later be developed for lower back pain related to degenerative disc disease, in which Chi2Disc will be used in conjunction with a proprietary disc-restorative device.
