Autobrains provides perception AI solutions and technologies for advanced driver assistance and fully autonomous driving systems, with dramatically superior performance and lower compute requirements vs. market standard. The precise perception and sensing platform enables the car to fully comprehend its environment and recognize a wide array of fine-grained concepts, including pedestrians, vehicles, and behavioral states.
The unsupervised artificial intelligence in Autobrains' Cartex learns to recognize objects in detail, as well as the contextual occurrences and behavior patterns of those objects. The interaction and behavior of objects over time is observed and registered as an experience. These experiences are then used to anticipate the behavior of similar events in the future. The predictive model goes beyond a description of the past and can understand how objects will behave, as well as what objects may enter the environment.
Autobrains is a joint venture set up by Israeli start-up Cortica and German automotive part manufacturer Continental and includes Toyota AI Ventures, the VC subsidiary of the Japanese car manufacturer's R&D arm; BMW i Ventures; and Jerusalem-based VC fund OurCrowd.
