Aero Drivetrain develops a hybrid drone power plant platform, built with a micro-jet and/or internal combustion engine power source and integrated with a continuously variable transmission hydraulic drivetrain (HK-CVT). This combination allows for management of the drone propeller's thrust based on flight conditions, resulting in highly efficient and stable flight.
The heavy drone platform is designed to carry hundreds of kilograms, making it ideal for heavy-duty commercial applications. With its lightweight construction, the drone has a significantly improved fuel consumption rate, resulting in an increased payload-to-power ratio.
The HK-CVT system allows the engine to operate at a constant RPM, achieving maximum engine efficiency and reducing structural vibrations and fuel consumption. The rotor energy consumption is continuously monitored and adjusted based on the required power and speed, gross weight, altitude, and other flight factors. The HK-CVT system includes the benefits of independently electrically driven rotors with highly reduced weight and inertia losses.
