Acrylicom is a fabless semiconductor company developing and producing physical layer chips for data communication over plastic optical fiber (POF). The cornerstone of Acrylicom's technology is BrightCore, a hardware IP solution that enables the use of scalable links over POF in steps of 2.5 Gbps. BrightSFP provides a 10-Gbps transceiver in an SFP form factor, supporting the upgrade of existing network line cards to POF media. BrightPHY is a 10-Gbps ASSP physical layer enabling reasonably priced connectivity to POF.
