Ron Gura is a serial business entrepreneur and angel investor, investing in early-stage deals. He is currently the Co-founder & CEO of Empathy, which developed an app that helps families through all the financial, legal, emotional, and logistical challenges after losing a loved one. Before his position at Empathy, Ron has served as an SVP Product at WeWork and as an Entrepreneur in Residence at Aleph, an Israeli early-stage fund, focused on partnering with great Israeli entrepreneurs to build large, meaningful companies and impactful global brands. Prior to these positions, Ron was the Co-founder & CEO of The Gifts Project, a social e-commerce platform for Group Gifting. He has led the company to its acquisition by eBay in September 2011. Following the acquisition, the company has transitioned into eBays Israel Innovation Center, a unit focused on building new commerce businesses and products for eBay, and Ron has served as its Product Director & GM of eBay's Tel Aviv office. Earlier in his career, he has worked as an Engineer in Test at AVT (Advanced Vision Technology). Ron is also the Founder & Chairman of Table for Two Israel, an NGO that makes it easy to donate 1 ILS to less privileged demographics in Israel every time they go to lunch with their "food card".
