Israel's Smart Cities Community
The community's vision is to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Israel by connecting the stakeholders of the local ecosystem, namely technology companies ,municipalities , researchers and citizens. The final objective is to expand the local ecosystem of startups in the area od smartcities, help with better policymaking and resource sharing. Furthermore, the community will work to create a network of international connections for the benefit of its members. Munitech was established at the initiative of the Ministry of Economy, Digital Israel, Ministry of Interior, and the Innovation Authority to promote the field of smart cities in Israel. Bar Ilan University and the Federation of Local Authorities in Israel were elected to run the community.
