Gil is an Israeli technology investor who previously served as Managing Director at Hearst Ventures, where he spent eight years building the firm’s Israeli investment portfolio across AI software, consumer media, e-commerce, healthcare data, and logistics, leading investments in companies including Simply, Snappy, Vault AI, Duality, Instant Commerce, and Loora.
Earlier in his career, he was a Partner at 2B-Angels and a Principal at Canaan Partners, focusing on Israeli technology investments. Gil has a technical background from IDF Unit 8200 and prior experience in R&D and product marketing at AudioCodes (Nasdaq: AUDC). He is a Kauffman Fellow and holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
