As a growth-stage venture capital fund, the fund syndicates with private and public investors to bring circular technologies and bio-products to market, offering flexible financing tools from equity to mezzanine.
The targeted main investment sectors are ag-tech, food-tech, biomaterials, and industrial biotechnology (incl. bio-chemicals), which have applications in a broad range of end markets such as nutrition, packaging, construction, textiles, and personal care. ECBF refrains from investing in bio-energy and pharma.
In Israel, the VC focuses in investing in the Agtech and Foodtech sector.
