AltaClub is a co-investment platform by AltaIR Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in very early seed-stage tech companies, primarily in the areas of internet and mobile. The co-investment platform is designed to allow any private investor to join and co-invest in carefully selected early-stage companies alongside AltaIR Capital. AltaClub presents private investors with an opportunity to put together their personal venture portfolio and receive certain limited partner privileges. Unlike direct venture fund investments, in which shareholders often have to wait more than 10 years for returns, investing in particular projects with AltaClub can yield returns much faster. This is possible due to the unique option of early exits when shares of the start-up are resold at a higher valuation during the next round of investment.
