ZygoFix has developed a screwless implant for spinal fusion, a surgical procedure commonly prescribed for the treatment of severe back pain. The companys zLOCK miniature 3D printed implant utilizes the spines own anatomy for spinal stability, as opposed to the external screw-based bridge. The simple, straightforward, minimally invasive procedure eliminates the risks associated with miss-screwing and can be performed in an outpatient setting.
