WikiShark is a large-scale set of online tools that provide researchers with real-time access to and analysis of relevant, rich, and context-inclusive metrics on events throughout the world. It transforms raw data into metrics that can be used in scientific modeling and analysis to collect data on human behavior for social science research. WikiShark provides real-time analysis of raw data on the content, context, production, and consumption of information on Wikipedia. In the future it will provide API access to high-level measures on emerging events, as well as interface tools for visualization, exploration, and analysis. The company's goal is to help scientific researchers incorporate the output of these tools into their existing research methodologies without the need for advanced technical skills.
