Lithium-ion Battery Technology
UltraCharge develops technology for lithium-ion batteries. UltraCharge replaces the graphite used for the anode (negative pole) with its own nanotube gel material made from titanium dioxide. The company has patented a method for turning titanium dioxide particles into micronized (long) nanotubes, helping to speed up the chemical reactions taking place in an UltraCharge battery. This enables fast charging, improved energy density, and slower deterioration. UltraCharge batteries can endure between 10,000 and 15,000 charging cycles. Because UltraCharge batteries are free from carbon, they avoid thermal runaway or overheating, which is a main cause of fire in traditional energy storage systems. UltraCharge utilizes low-cost raw materials and an affordable patented production method, and its technology allows rapid integration into current battery production lines.
