Device for Ongoing Delivery of Injectable Drugs
SteadyMed Therapeutics Inc has developed the PatchPump platform to deliver injectable drugs. Using its proprietary ECell technology, the PatchPump is a customizable, prefilled, preprogrammed disposable parenteral (non-oral) delivery platform for large-volume and viscous formulations. The device attaches to the abdomen and delivers medicine through a small needle on an ongoing basis. SteadyMed's product will initially be focused on serving patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension and chronic pain.
