3D Printed Socket for Prosthetics
Stand3lone has developed an innovative measuring device that enables the measurement of prosthetic sockets under real-life conditions in order to achieve a perfect fit, ultimately reducing socket cost and production time. Current measurement of residual limbs does not account for limbs changing shape in real-time scenarios such as standing and walking, resulting in more than 50% of sockets requiring reworking due to poor fit. Stand3lone measures the residual limb of leg amputees under weight-bearing conditions to produce accurate measurements for 3D printed sockets.
