Snap Inc is a camera company that created Snapchat, a globally popular social media app for smartphones. Snap is also the parent company of Spectacles, which makes camera-embedded sunglasses. The glasses communicate wirelessly with smartphones via the Snapchat app. They include a case that charges the glasses.
Snap Inc. has acquired three Israeli companies in the past few years: Cimagine Media, Voca.ai, and Adshir. These acquisitions have helped Snap Inc. to expand its AR, voice AI, and AI capabilities.
In April 2017, Snap acquired a patent (Geofilter) from the Israeli social platform Mobli.
