Prize4Life is a nonprofit organization based in Israel. It was founded in 2007 with the mission of accelerating innovative and groundbreaking treatments and cures for ALS. The organization is inspired by patients with ALS, who have assumed the responsibility for fighting the disease and affecting the destinies of future patients, though they themselves will not personally benefit.
Prize4Life has developed the ALS Mobile Analyzer, an application that provides a less expensive, more accurate way to track the progression of ALS. The ALS Mobile Analyzer is a revolutionary smartphone app designed to monitor ALS patients over the course of their daily lives. The app tracks patients self-reports and their performance on a few simple tasks, and then uses the collected data to evaluate disease progression.
The ALS Mobile Analyzer is an objective, accessible, and easy-to-use monitoring tool that is freely available to all ALS patients worldwide. The app will enable large-scale functional data collection to advance ALS research; facilitate individually tailored, more responsive clinical care; and enable faster, smaller, and more efficient ALS clinical trials.
The Prize4Life ALS Mobile Analyzer was awarded the Genesis Generation Prize.
