PostBoost is a crop-improvement company whose product PB provides a multifunctional biological solution for crop protection, disease resistance, pest resistance, and fruit-quality enhancement. The solution was developed by a multidisciplinary team of scientists from Israels Agricultural Research Organization (Volcani Center). PB can be applied to a variety of crops and offers a wide range of solutions, with efficacy comparable to that of standard chemical products. PB can be used as a crop protection product when applied to plants, protecting them against diseases and insects, and can also be used as a fruit-quality enhancer when applied at the flowering stage or directly to fruit before harvest. Based on a naturally occurring amino acid, PB is produced through chemical synthesis and functions as a biological treatment. PB causes plants to emit secondary metabolites that inhibit the development of pathogens in fruits and vegetables, acting as a strong pest repellant.
