Optimata uses high-level, multiscale modeling that integrates rational analysis of treatment mechanisms with information from large databases to develop solutions for predicting an oncology patients prognosis and the benefit they may gain from drug therapy, thus enabling improved treatment decisions.
Optimatas PrediCare is a decision support tool that aims to help oncologists select the optimal therapy program. PrediCare uses the cancer patients individual clinical attributes (e.g. historic disease profile, biomarkers, etc.) to predict their response to different regimens and help identify the most appropriate treatment.
The companys Virtual Patient platform, OVP, tailors drug regimens to patient populations and subpopulations. It is based on a system of mathematical models describing pathological, physiological, and pharmacological processes on multiple scales and adjusted to reflect the populations dynamics. The interactive models can be used to simulate different treatment protocols and optimize treatment schedules for a given patient population based on criteria defined by the user.
The OVP platform has already undergone a proof-of-concept in breast cancer patients and in drug development, and has been adopted by biotech and pharmaceutical companies worldwide.
