Novamed is the developer of several proprietary diagnostic systems, including the patented and FDA-approved DipStreak and Diaslide culture devices for the rapid diagnosis of urinary tract infections and NovaStreak for the detection of microorganisms in food and dairy products. Novamed has also developed NovaCup, an innovative urine collection cup with an integrated full-panel urinalysis testing strip test that provides POC or home users with quantifiable results without needing to send urine samples to the laboratory. NovaCup allows users to get on-site urinalysis results without any manual immersion of the urine strip in an open container. Results are automatically read using either a digital reader (for POC use) or the companys smartphone application (for home use).
