Nova's proprietary technology makes the surface of dental implants highly hydrophilic just prior to implantation. Its Active+ Plasma Capsule comes in a prepackaged disposable capsule that is sealed and sterilized at the factory. In the operating room or clinic, the capsule is plugged into a desktop unit that activates the plasma process, surface treating the implant. After 30 seconds, the capsule is opened, and the clean, hydrophilic implant is ready for implantation.
