Noninvasive Technology for Monitoring CO2 in the Blood
Neetour Medical is the developer of Capno-Pulse, a noninvasive technology to monitor the level of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the blood. An individuals CO2 trends can be used in a wide variety of applications in the areas of well-being, sports, and health care. Capno-Pulse is based on analysis of photoplethysmography (PPG), a high-speed and high-sensitivity sampling of blood volume change as measured by the reflection of light through the patients skin using infrared and visible light sensors. Neetour Medicals technology was selected to be part of the Samsung Mobile SimBand wearable project, a watch-style platform that will continuously gather vital diagnostic information for lifestyle, medical, and sports-related applications.
