Nanotech Industrial Solutions Inc (NIS) is the primary manufacturer of NanoLub, an IF-WS2-based product line of extreme pressure anti-wear and anti-friction lubricants, additives, and coatings. IF-WS2 consists ofnano-sized particles of inorganic fullerene-like tungsten disulfide. The IF-WS2 particles were first created in 1992 at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. NIS holds an exclusive worldwide license for commercialization of the technology after acquiring the Israeli company NanoMaterials in 2013. NanoMaterials Ltd (formerly Apnano) operates asa subsidiary of NIS and is involved in extensive research and testing for additional WS2-based applications in the field of lubricants, coatings, and polymer composites for industries such as defense, mining, and metalworking.
