About

Peptide-based Bacteria-resistant Coatings

NanoAF develops biocompatible and environmentally friendly materials that resist biofouling. The materials are based on short peptides that can self-assemble into a film for coating surfaces. Using peptides for this purpose is advantageous due to the peptides biocompatibility, chemical diversity, and ability to be easily synthesized on a large scale. NanoAFs solution is biofriendly, nontoxic, and non-biocidal. It can be used in numerous applications, including mold prevention, air-quality control, marine antifouling, food packaging, medical-device protection, and water treatment.
