About

Search Engine for Mobile Applications

MindTheApps is a newly established startup, pre-seed stage. Our mission is to provide best of breed application matching services for users in application stores (Google's Android Market, Apple's iTunes, and more). The Current app markets suffer from an inherent problem that hurts everyone. Popular apps get the best shelf in the supermarket, so they are exposed to more shoppers, become more popular, and leaving the rest of the less popular apps behind, even if needed. On the other hand, there is the free text search available, also known as long tail search. Users do use it from time to time, but most of the time they dont, mostly due to the fact that nobody likes typing text on those too small touchscreen keypads. We are developing a technology to analyze the mass of apps out there in the App Stores wilderness, and a User Interface to allow end users to ask for applications in a very innovative yet intuitive manner.
