Microsemi Corp, today wholly owned subsidiary of Microchip Technology, offers, designs, manufactures, and markets high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions. Microsemi's branch in Israel was establishedafter the 2007 acquisition of the Israeli PowerDsine, which developed integrated circuits, modules, and systems to transfer power-over-ethernet (PoE) in local area networks. With this acquisition, Microsemi's portfolio of product offerings expanded to include a broad range of PoE solutions. Microsemi's Israel center alsoincludes the former PMC-Sierra development teams located in Israel after PMC-Sierra'sacquisition in 2016. PMC-Sierra Israel (formerly Passave), focuses on the development of system-on-a-chip semiconductors for the fiber-to-the-home access market and chip-related software tools that allow internet service providers to offer voice, video, and data services to households.
