About

Robotic Platform for Spine Surgery

Mazor Robotics has developed the Renaissance Guidance System and complementary products designed to facilitate highly accurate spine surgery that raises the standard of care with better clinical outcomes. Through the Renaissances systems intuitive interface, the surgeon plans the operation in a virtual 3D environment, creating a blueprint for surgery. The Renaissance system easily integrates into OR workflows, providing a high level of accuracy, and may lower the amount of fluoroscopy used for deformity, minimally invasive, and revision cases. The companys pipeline includes a minimally invasive spinal stabilization procedure enabled by Renaissance and an intraoperative 3D-imaging system as an add-on to C-arms (operating room imaging systems). Renaissance also seeks to expand into clinical applications such as cranial biopsies and deep brain stimulation implant placements.
