Inhibiting Biofilm Formation in Dairy Products
COPIA Magnificent has developed a simple, safe, and natural method for reducing or inhibiting the formation of biofilms. Biofilms are highly structured multicellular communities that allow bacteria to survive hostile environments, pasteurization, and preservatives and have been linked to the contamination of milk, beverages, food products, and the surfaces of processing equipment. COPIA Magnificent addresses the biofilm problem by adding a healthy food-grade compound to milk that reduces and inhibits biofilm formation while increasing cheese production by 5% to 10%. COPIA Magnificent is a fully owned subsidiary of COPIA Agro and Food Technologies Fund.
