Integrated Silicon Solution Inc (ISSI) specializes in developing and marketing high-performance integrated circuits for various markets, such as automotive, communications, digital consumer, industrial, and medical. Their main products include low power SRAM, high-speed SRAM, low and medium density DRAM, NOR flash products, and high-performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
In 2018, ISSI acquired the R&D center of Sigma Designs, which was previously established after Sigma Designs' acquisition of CopperGate, a home-networking chip maker in 2009. The R&D center, located in Israel, is responsible for developing G.hn communication protocol solutions that allow connectivity of home appliances through existing cables like power lines, telephone lines, and coax cables, and facilitate content distribution to various screens within the home. The chips developed by this center are sold to manufacturers of converters and other home communication solutions.
