Image-guided System for Dental Treatment
IGS-Dental's solution develops a safe system for dental drilling by using a CT scan of the jaw with pre-inserted markers that map the drilling location. While drilling, the drill position is transferred to the host station using wireless communication, allowing its location, angle, and drilling depth to be available inreal time. The system is also able to alert the dentist of any deviation from the planned target range.
