Human Xtensions is a medical robotics company developing software-driven devices designed to extend the human hand’s reach. The hand-held device acts as a human extension inside the anatomy and helps restore surgeons’ ease and comfort by providing them with proper ergonomic positioning near each patient for increased freedom, flexibility, proximity, and control.
In March 2018, Human Xtensions received an FDA 510(k) clearance for HandX, its smart, electro-mechanically simplified surgical systems that integrate all of the components required for a modular platform. HandX is designed as a lightweight hand-held device that translates the surgeon’s natural hand motions into complex movements inside the patient.
