About

Augmenting Conventional Imaging Devices with Hyperspectral Capabilities

HC Vision has developed a technology that allows conventional cameras to increase their spectral resolution, enabling them to capture information over a wide range of wavelengths without the need for specialized equipment or controlled lighting. HC Vision uses field-proven machine-learning techniques to endow low-cost, consumer-grade sensors with hyperspectral capabilities via software. The capabilities offered by HC Vision enable higher-quality RGB image acquisition as well as advanced features such as material sensing. By introducing low-cost hardware modifications, HC Vision's technology can further augment existing CMOS/CCD sensors with up to a 100% increase in light sensitivity and heightened hyperspectral accuracy. HC Vision's technology has a number of applications in the field of agriculture, from plant disease detection to crop analysis.
