About

Flame Detectors for High-risk Industries

Fire & Gas Detection Technologies (FGD) makes flame detectors for the oil and gas, petrochemical, and other high-risk industries. The companys IR3 and UV-IR flame detectors provide fast detection times and can perform over long distances, all while maintaining and improving upon false alarm immunity. FGDs products are optimized to provide reliable performance in rain, fog, snow, haze, dust, smoke, and other adverse weather conditions. The detectors also offer an optional inbuilt HD video camera that can continuously record and save pre- and post-alarm videos for visual analysis of any fire events. The HD videos are available for local or remote download and can also be streamed live back to a control room and recorded to a network video recorder. By enabling users to remotely dial into a unit for diagnostics, FGDs technology can help prevent units from needing to be sent back to the factory for evaluation.
