Fidmi's improved design integrates three important features. First, the flexible, rigid-core internal bumper stays securely in place, prevents dislodgment, and breaks apart for trauma-free removal when needed, with radiopaque pieces naturally expelled from the body. Second, the disposable feeding tube can be easily replaced without removing the PEG device, reducing clogging and extending product life. Third, a flexible external retention bumper protects the stoma, provides ventilation, self-adjusts for an enhanced fit, and holds the disposable feeding tube in place.
