Collage Medical Imaging is developing a comprehensive imaging and diagnostics technology designed specifically for soft tissues such as the prostate, lung, and breast. The companys patented technology combines high-quality miniature optical coherence tomography sensors with 3D localization sensors to generate ultra-high-resolution imaging (at the micron level, similar to histopathology) of the whole organ in order to pinpoint cancerous tumors. By providing accurate location and identification of cancerous tumors in real time within the body, the companys technology can enable minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment strategies for many cancers. Collage Medical Imaging has developed a prototype and conducted preclinical tests in conjunction with Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
