On-board Scale Technology
Clidrotech created a system that can measure and report any vehicle's weight in real-time, at accuracy of 100 ppm (100 gram per Ton). This technology allows the weight of a vehicle to be weighed from on-board the vehicle, rather than using an external scale. The system helps deal with a few different vehicular issues. Overweight loads is a major cause for truck accidents, so knowing truck actual weight can help reduce accidents. In addition, the system can also prevent assets from being stolen from trucks by detecting the exact amount of fuel that was loaded to the car. An additional application is for autonomous vehicles, for which weight is an important factor for the driving profile. Knowing the actual weight of the vehicle will enable it to drive faster and more efficient.
