About

Nanoparticle Layers for Touch Screens

ClearJet has developed an inkjet-based ink that forms a transparent conductive layer for use in a wide range of touch screens. Based on a patented ink developed at Hebrew University using the "coffee-stain" effect, this approach replaces the existing indium-based solution (ITO). It produces a layer of silver nanoparticles using inkjet technology. Touch screen manufacturers and numerous other electronics applications can benefit from this cost-effective solution. It offers the potential for greater flexibility, higher conductivity while maintaining excellent transparency, and simplified patterning with lower equipment costs. ClearJet has signedcontracts with Korean and US companies for the manufacturing of touch screens forsmartphones and automotive panels.
