About

Location based Social Network for Cities

CityZen mobile app creates a simple platform for citizens to report accidents, safety hazards, criminal activities and other events that bother them, straight to the local authorities. With the social features, all CityZen users can view events reported around their location, comment on others' reports and stay updated about their handling. CityZen's data base and algorithms are designed to analyze all the received information, to filter and gather multiple reports, all in order to make them accessible to the authorities and to the citizens. The monitoring portal can filter the received reports by type and respond to them by updating their handling status and adding comments. Once an event is being handled, users who reported it are notified accordingly. The first pilot for the system was conducted in March 2014 in Jerusalem.
