Cath Med is developing a steerable catheter designed to reduce the complications and risks associated with the prenatal diagnostic chorionic villi sampling procedure. Cath Meds catheter has a distal tip that can be easily manipulated by the clinician after insertion, eliminating the need for multiple catheters or re-insertions. The catheter is also equipped with a guide that enables practitioners to control the bend angle of the inserted catheter from outside the patients body.
