The Bruker Israel sales and marketing office, established in 1969, initially built its presence through a relationship with the Weizmann Institute. In 2015, Bruker expanded its R&D activities by acquiring Jordan Valley Semiconductors, a provider of X-ray metrology and defect-detection equipment for semiconductor process control. This acquisition added Jordan Valley's in-line X-ray metrology to Bruker's existing X-ray metrology technologies, strengthening Bruker Semiconductor Division's position as the leading X-ray metrology system provider for advanced semiconductor applications. The division is now known as Bruker Nano Surfaces & Metrology
