The company's clinical data has demonstrated that by using artificial-intelligence, machine-learning, and deep-learning techniques, it can predict and monitor chronic diseases. The company has seen initial successful results in detecting coronary artery disease via patients' voice, through joint research with the Mayo clinic; predicting hospitalization and mortality among patients with congestive heart failure; and indicating the existence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, sleep apnea, and other diseases.
Using large patient databases with correlated and anonymized voice recordings of other health conditions, such as cancer, hypertension, and diabetes, Beyond Verbal is now building new vocal biomarker prediction algorithms.
