About

Personal Audio Memory Extension

AudLog is a mobile application that helps users recall personal information that is relevant to their context. The user can specify what the information is for (e.g. a task, meeting, or action item) or what it is about (e.g. aperson, topic, or location). AudLog then retrieves the relevant information from the user's personal history of spoken and written conversations. This information is presented as a quick summary, a detailed analysis, or a full report. To enable this, AudLog automatically identifies and records conversations, both face-to-face meetings and phone calls. It enhances these records with user-generated metadata and external written sources such asemails and text messages. These are all transcribed, analyzed, and indexed to create a personal memory extension. AudLog can display statistics about past communications, a summary of the action items previously discussed, outlines of the content and flow of each related conversation, ananalysis of the mood and sentiment dynamics of each participant, and afull transcript of past communications.
